Testimonies from LifeChange Mentors:
-
"Taking the LifeChange course has been a great blessing for myself, my wife, and our ministry "Freed By Grace" vocational aftercare ministry. Taking the one day training course has provided us with tremendous direction on how to mentor and share the gospel with (adult) ex-offenders. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in entering a prison ministry of any kind." Neale, Founder, Freed by Grace
-
"My mentoring experience was most positive. LifeChange provided a sound base for communicating biblical principals. It also served for open discussion of various topics important to the mentee." Michael, mentor with adult male ex-offender
-
"His attitude and outlook on life has changed for the better, and I believe it's because of his mentoring relationship and the LifeChange Mentoring program." Comments from facility staff person to facility administrator.
-
"When I began mentoring him the staff at the unit told me he was into white supremacy, but he told me just last Thursday how foolish that seems now to him. Our Lord has been working His usual miracles and it is just too wonderful for words. I cannot tell you what a blessing it is to see these changes in a very intelligent young man." Jim, mentor with incarcerated youth
-
"I encourage these young men to take every opportunity to share with others the things they are learning. It builds self-confidence each time they give to others. I am so proud of each of them and I thank God for the men of God they are becoming. These young men have an honesty that makes them great channels of God's love and creativity. We might be looking at some of the greatest evangelists, greatest artists, and greatest composers the world has ever known behind these fences." Jacky, mentor with incarcerated youth.
Testimonies from LifeChange Mentees:

"LifeChange helps us apply God's word to what we are learning in Resocialization (Texas Youth Commission rehabilitation program). It's easy to understand the Resocialization when you read the Bible and learn that thinking errors have been going on forever and things like that. I thought it wouldn't help me but how did I know if I didn't try? I think most of us don't want to accept God and His promises because we don't want to be disappointed again. This study and the relationship I have with my mentor are real. This is what I think everybody should have. It's great doing the book and reading the Bible." Manuel, incarcerated youth, 20 years old.

"LifeChange offers me daily guidance on how to lead my life (which I didn't have a lot of before). It provides a lot of good meaty stuff which we don't get anywhere else, like exploratory questions about life situations - such as what the Bible says about thinking errors, the offense cycle, etc. I especially like the short daily Bible readings at the end of each discussion sheet. I keep a journal of all the lessons I'm learning so I can review them and use them to help others. I want to help others change like this has helped me change. I found that the Resocialization program teaches us about ourselves and the LifeChange program teaches us about God and his attitude toward us. This is a great program for people who don't know or understand Resocialization. It is not required to do the LifeChange. But the LifeChange helps you understand the Resocialization. It's not mandatory that I come to the lesson, but I always come because it's good for me." Bobbie, incarcerated youth, 16 years old
